BACKGROUND
RoboCup Singapore CoSpace and RoboMaker Challenges provide a conducive environment for students to experiment and as a result foster their confidence in creating and making. The objective of this initiative is to interest, excite and engage the students, teachers and parents about STEM and Computational Thinking through playing, tinkering, making and programming robots in both virtual and real environments (CoSpace Robot )
RoboCupJunior CoSpace is a new worldwide robotic competition. It is a fantastic way to get students involved in programming and computational thinking.
The RoboMaker Challenge aims to encourage creative expression and innovative ideas of the robot design & applications.

ELIGIBILITY
All Primary, Secondary and Junior College students are welcome. Primary age group is for primary school students. Secondary age group is for secondary and JC students.

COMPETITION RULE AND JUDGING CRITERIA
RoboCupJunior CoSpace Challenge
The RCJ CoSpace Rescue Challenge and RCJ CoSpace Dance Challenge Rules will be used for the RoboCupJunior CoSpace Challenge.
RoboMaker Challenge
The RoboMaker Challenge will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Share your robot and the making process
The teams need to demonstrate their robot to the public. They will be interviewed by a panel of judge.
Each team will be given 10 mins to share their design, application, making process and experience, and 10 mins to respond to Judges’ comments. Students are encouraged to use “show and tell”, illustration, multimedia, etc to present the robot making process.
Teams are encouraged to showcase the use of innovation tools, such as 3D printing, Arduino, etc for making and creating the robots.
- Performance Assessment
For RCJ Soccer, Rescue, and Dance Robot Maker Challenges, a competition will be organised for teams to benchmark their robots. The result will be used to rank the robots. The competition rule follows the RCJ international Rules. i.e. RCJ Soccer Rule, RCJ Rescue Rule, RCJ Dance Rule.
For Open Challenge, team has to demonstrate the workability and performance of the robot/product.

Teams will be voted by other teams and general public.
